Languedoc-Roussillon is located in the south of France boasting both the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees Mountains. The region has a beautiful coastline ranging from wide sandy beaches to small fishing villages and coves.
Water sports including wind/kite surfing, sailing, canoeing, diving and water skiing can be found on the coast whilst activities such as cannyoning, mountain biking, rock climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, hiking and golf are also available nearby. The ski resorts of the Pyrenees Mountains are just a 90 minute drive away.
There is a whole host of cultural and family activities within a short drive of Fitou including the underground caves at Ville-Franche (40mins), the little yellow train that travels up the Pyrenees mountains (40 mins), an amazing African safari park with over 3000 animals (15 mins), plus a selection of Cathar castles including a medieval walled fortress at Carcassonne (60 mins).
Fitou village is famous for it's wine and most of the local activities include wine in one form or another. This includes the annual Fete du Vin at the beginning of August and as well as regular music nights held outside the local bar during the summer months.
There are many restaurants within walking distance of the villa including two that are particularly good and offer traditional French food including wild boar, seafood and foie gras. The villa overlooks a medieval chateau that has a bar and restaurant where tapas is served.
The village also has a supermarket, a bar/tabac, a boulangerie, a post office and a doctor's surgery. There is also a football stadium, a hard surface football/basketball court, a children's playground, a bouladrome and a tennis court.
Villa Jasmin has been furnished in luxurious and homely style and has three sets of patio doors opening out onto terraces from the living, dining and kitchen area giving the interior and bright and spacious feel. There are two large leather sofas, a dining table with eight chairs, and a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, 4-ring electric hob and extractor fan. There is also a utility area within the garage with a sink and a washing machine.
The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and consist of two double rooms and two twin rooms. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor with a bathroom and separate WC whilst the other two bedrooms are located on the first floor with a shower room. The master bedroom has patio doors opening onto a large terrace with stunning sea and mountain views.
All rooms have reversible air conditioning to provide cool conditions in the summer and comfortable heating as required for the winter months.
Baby equipment can be hired for a small additional charge.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area and has terraces on three sides including a covered seating area with a large round table and six lounge chairs. There is also a decked area with a pergola and a dining area with a large table and eight dining chairs. To the rear of the property there is a paved terrace with a fixed gazebo and dining facilities providing a perfect outdoor breakfast setting.
The swimming pool, currently under construction and due for completion in January 2008, will be located at the front of the property and will be surrounded by sun terraces. The swimming pool will have a safety cover that complies with current safety legislation.
The villa is set in a plot with landscaped gardens and off road parking for two vehicles.

25% deposit required at the time of booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.
Arrival is between 4pm and 9pm on day of arrival. Departure must be made by 10am. Saturday change overs.
